This beautiful dress is the ultimate destination wedding gown! It has an illusion neckline and beautiful buttons along low back design.
How many layers does the dress have & what color is it?
There are 4 layers for this dress (with the exception of the neckline, as it is a single layer for the illusion).
The rest of the body of the dress has 4 layers:
- Inner layer cotton/polyester type (light pale pink)
- Silk layer (pale, nude/pink)
- Chiffon/Tulle layer type (nude)
- Then the final lace on top (ivory)
Is it clean or damaged?
- I've only worn this once for my destination wedding photos, which was on the grass and sand. However, I always carried the dress train when walking and only placed it down carefully for photos.
- It is slightly dirty on the bottom 2 layers of the dress (back train section); however they are only sand/dirt stains which can be easily cleaned. No damage to the lace.
- There are a few beads that fell off around the back neckline, but not noticable in photos.
*If Petite sized clothing best fits you, then this dress will fit you!
Alterations made:
- Take in the bust
- Take in the straps by less than 1 inch, as I am a petite size (I believe this can be undone to length the torso as my seamstress only folded and sewed it to shorten)
- Hemmed the length in the front slightly
- Added a bustle (one for the 3 layers inside and one for the outside lace layer)
- Added bra cups inside (I was able to wear additional adhesive bra inside and spanx).
For reference, I fit a size 4P dress in Banana Republic.
My measurements:
- 32C or 32/34B or 35.4 in circumference around bust
- 26.5 inch waist
- 38.5 inch hips
- 16.5 inch from shoulder to waist (for length of torso reference)
I am 5'1" and wore 3" heels.
I recommend wearing a shaper/spanx, then using a safety pin to fold/tuck/pin the back so it would not show with the low back lace design.
